Asama's eruption

A Volcano eruption...really! For some reason I have never really worried about Volcano's in Japan. I guess I didn't realize it was a real threat. But, last night MT Asama erupted. We are 65 miles N N/W of there so not close enough to get hurt but close enough to have lots of fun Ash! School was canceled because I am sure the ash isn't that healthy for you... Joe and I both have sore throats, yuck! This whole situation has made me realise how close we are to MT Fuji. Volcano's who knew!
This is a picture of MT Asama last night

This is the road lines and the ash on the cars... not too bad but bad enough!

Ab has nightmares about them?! Strange! I never give them a second thought, but that's pretty crazy to be so close. (Just watch, I'll have a nightmare about them tonight! ;-))

Wow!! That is definitely something you wouldn't see in Burley Idaho! I'm so glad you were far enough away. Keep us posted on the sore throats and ash!
